In A Nutshell
I love to read and have a big imagination. I'm looking for someone who enjoys having intellectual conversations, enjoys a good book and wants to share life and laughter together. I was married for 12 years and while sadly that ended we are still very good friends. I had a great marriage and helped raise my 2 step-children (now adults with children of their own.)
I love my job (I've been there 30 years) and the people I work with, I have my own house, cook and clean and iron my own shirts so I'm not needing anyone to take care of me. But I do miss the companionship and being able to say goodnight to a partner in life, my best friend and wake up in the morning and make her coffee. Well...if she likes coffee!
And I realize that a relationship takes time to mature and that you can't rush or force it, and it takes both of you to work to keep the relationship alive and healthy!
The One I Am Looking For
My partner will be my best fried that shares laughter and love, we are open and honest with one another and have a mutual respect for each other. She will appreciate old fashioned manners and won't mind putting up with my wanting to open doors for her, pull out chairs or help her with her coat. She' be my equal in humor, intelligence - she will be a woman that accepts me as I am and will challenge me to grow with her. It would be wonderful if she enjoys music, movies, reading, day trips and also wants to cook together. She will be someone I want to call when I'm driving and see a rainbow, she will be the last person I see before going to sleep and the first person I see in the morning. She will enjoy going out and having fun as much as she enjoys just staying home snuggling on the couch. And maybe she won't mind too much if I happen to snore...just a little bit! Oh! And hopefully she will have a much better green thumb than I have! LOL!
So you tell me - unrealistic or just a tall order?
I'd Just Like to Add
What makes me...me? I've made it past 50 and have had many great and also sad experiences but I wouldn't be who I am today without them. I still haven't lost my sense of wonder and while I'm an adult that takes care of bills, a house and all the other things we need to take care of I still can enjoy being goofy, laugh at myself and play! (I still can't sleep well on Christmas eve after all these years!)
I can be shy at first but once I warm up to you I'll talk your ear off! I read something everyday (I have a library of over 800 hardcover books!) I 'm getting back into photography and hope to set up a room in the house and get back to drawing.
Of course there is more to me than just these things. Hopefully you'll want to take the time to discover them.
