A little about me...

I am old fashion and believe that chivalry is not dead. In addition, I appreciate a man who knows how to treat a lady. For example: open a door, pull out a chair, and help me with my coat. After all, these common courtesies do not cost anything. At this stage of my life I am drama free. Actually, I enjoy the simple pleasures of life such as: walks in the park, reading, going to the movies/museums, and meeting up with family and friends. Also, I enjoy stimulating conversation. I believe that communication is the key to a successful relationship. In addition, I am not materialistic and seeking a man to care for me financially. Most importantly, I prefer to be respected, appreciated and represented well. Additionally, I enjoy working and making my own money. Money is an important factor. It provides comfort, stability, security and convenience but cannot buy love, peace and happiness. Plus, I love to be romanced and do not have a problem returning the favor. Even though the world is constantly changing, morals, scruples, values and standards will never change. In fact, I believe that the body is a temple and should be treated as such. Indeed, good things come to those who wait. Relationships take time and should never be rushed.

About the one I'm looking for...

My ideal mate should be down to earth, easy-going and romantic. He should not be afraid to express his feelings and show his sensitive side. In addition, a good sense of humor is a plus. Also, he must love to laugh and have fun. He must be able to engage in good conversation as well as be a good listener. It is very important that he believes in God and is willing to come with me to church. In addition, he must be aware that communication is the key. The benefits of effective communication are to built trust, understand ones likes/dislikes, and to share each other’s happiness and problems so we can build a long lasting relationship. Guys, life is too short and should be enjoyed to the fullest. If you are a workaholic, please do not respond. Unfortunately, I have been down that road and refuse to take that path again. Most importantly, I am not looking forward to teaching a man how to treat me. Therefore, he must have a great sense for business as well as pull his own weight. In fact, I want to learn from him. For the most part, we could definitely learn from each other. If possible, we could pull our resources together to retire early and enjoy life. For now, I am seeking companionship that will lead to a long term relationship.

I'd just like to add...

I am a firm believer in relaxation of the body. When the mind is relaxed the body is at its peak. Therefore, soaking in a hot tub with my partner and sipping on champagne is just what the doctor ordered. Also, I work-out 5 to 6 days a week. Exercise is a great stress reliever as well as an excellent way to stay in shape. Another way I relax is through music. My favorite artist is Luther Vandross. His smooth voice always takes me back in time when life was less complex and music made sense. Also, I love old school music. For example: the Stylistics, Temptations, Gladys Knight & the Pips, Delfonics, Chi-Lites and let’s not forget about the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin. To my surprise, I have developed an appreciation for Jazz. Although I try to maintain a healthy lifestyle my favorite cuisines are Soul, Italian, Indian and Seafood just to name a few. Also, I enjoyed foods that are cooked on the grill. On rare occasions, I do indulge in fast foods. In addition I have a passion for travel and to love explore. At times, I enjoy my space and appreciate anyone who respects that.
